Meet our Lead Dietitian, Tuo

Tuo Tao is the founder of Eat Savvi, and an Accredited Practicing Dietitian & Nutritionist.

By promoting a low-carb lifestyle, helping people to overcome lifestyle issues, and teaching them how to eat mindfully, modify recipes and make smart food swaps, Tuo has seen lots of his clients improve their health without necessarily sacrificing a lot.

A regular contributor to Diabetes Australia magazine and a regular guest on SBS Mandarin Chinese Radio, his dietetics service is trusted by many Australian GPs.

What to expect

At the initial consultation, we will assess your current health concerns, your typical food choices and eating habits. Over this and subsequent consultations, instead of boring nutrition guidelines, we will work with you to set goals and provide practical tips and tricks on healthy shopping and cooking to help you steadily work towards improving your health and achieving those goals.

Having consulted clients from a number of different cultural backgrounds, including Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Italian, Malaysian and Middle Eastern backgrounds, we are able to offer tailored nutrition recommendations according to specific cultural needs and traditions.

Why see a Dietitian?

Making sustained changes to our food, shopping and eating habits can be tricky. Combined with the volume of information available online, it can be hard to know what’s best for us. That’s why it helps to have experienced, university-trained professionals who know how to interpret nutrition guidelines and transform them into practical tips and strategies. All of our dietitians are Accredited Practising Dietitians with over 10 years experience.
